64 Local Arts Groups Receive Funding

For almost 40 years SVCREATES, and its precursor Arts Council Silicon Valley, has provided unrestricted operating support to small nonprofit arts organizations in Santa Clara County. These general operating grants, offered in partnership with the County of Santa Clara, provide unrestricted operating support for arts and culture organizations that:

• Reflect the dynamic, diverse, and innovative character of Santa Clara County;
• Demonstrate commitment to equity, inclusion, and artistic vibrancy and relevance;
• Positively impact the County’s cultural ecosystem through active and sustained engagement with audiences, volunteers, and artists; and
• Pursue organizational sustainability in service to the local community.

We are pleased to provide over $400,000 in unrestricted grant awards this grant cycle to support an amazing portfolio of arts groups that serve the full geography of our region — from Mountain View and Los Gatos, through San Jose to Gilroy — and represent a wide range of cultural traditions and artistic disciplines.
