The arts can play a unique role in engaging visitors and activating our city during our SJ2026 year of highly visible sporting events. Arts organizations and artists are invited to join our hospitality sector and other small businesses at the Summit for Hospitality & Creative Industries on Thursday, November 13 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at San Jose McEnery Convention Center Grand Ballroom to learn how to use newly available marketing tool kits, SJ2026 website, and other resources. Featured speakers will include Tommy O'Hare, 2026 Sports & Special Events Director for the City of San José; John Poch, Executive Director for the San José Sports Authority; Laura Chmielewski, VP of Marketing and Communications for Team San José; and Kerry Adams Hapner, Director of the City of San José’s Office of Cultural Affairs.
