SVCREATES Town Hall 2026
Stronger. Together.
The Event
The arts sector in our county isn’t just facing change—we are greeting it head-on.
Join us for the SVCREATES Town Hall 2026: Stronger. Together.—a Town Hall dedicated to the belief that our internal unity is the key to our external visibility. We’re moving past "surviving" and toward a future where we can thrive through change. We’ve curated a day of short, powerful, 50-minute sessions led by our own community’s arts leaders—grantees and arts leaders who are reimagining leadership, ownership, and resilience in real-time.
To top it all off, we are thrilled to welcome Vu Le as our keynote speaker to bring his signature wit and radical insight to our collective journey.
- Local Leadership: Six high-impact breakout sessions led by our community on reimagining organizational structures, fostering staff ownership, and more.
- The Keynote: The one and only Vu Le (@nonprofitAF), challenging us to think bigger and bolder.
- The Goal: Strengthening our internal bonds to amplify our external impact.
We are deeply rooted in community.
We are a unified force for change.
We are stronger together.
This Town Hall is FREE for Santa Clara County arts and culture practitioners thanks to our generous sponsors: The County of Santa Clara, the City of San José Office of Cultural Affairs, Applied Materials Foundation, and the California Arts Council.
Non-arts leaders and those coming from outside of Santa Clara County are asked to pay a fee of $70 for the entire day, or $25 for the Keynote, in order to help offset the cost of the event.

The SVCREATES Town Hall 2026 focuses on how much strength and power already exists in our community. We will close the Town Hall with an inspiring, candid, and compelling keynote speaker known for speaking truth to power. In that spirit, we are excited to have internationally known speaker and noted unicorn aficionado, Vu Le.
Vu Le (he/him) is the writer of the new book Re-Imagining Nonprofits & Philanthropy and the creator of the Nonprofit AF blog. He is a prominent advocate for equity, social justice, and transforming the nonprofit sector through a no-BS (and often irreverently humorous) approach. Join us for a conversation focused on challenging current funding practices, the scarcity mindset, and what arts groups might do next. The conversation will be followed by a Q&A.
The Keynote conversation with Vu Le is presented in partnership with the Center for Excellence in Nonprofits, Association of Fundraising Professionals, Silicon Valley Chapter, Catalyze and Cultivate Consulting, and Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance. We are excited to be able to offer the first 150 registrants a free copy of Vu Le’s book, thanks to our partners.
