In partnership with the City of Gilroy and the County of Santa Clara, SVCREATES is proud to announce the eight projects awarded through the third annual Gilroy Elevate the Arts grant program.
These projects will serve to further support the rich artistic scene in the greater Gilroy area and include Gilroy staples like the 1202 Contemporary Exhibition Series, La Ofrenda Festival, the Chalk Art Festival presented by MANOS, and the Poppy Jasper International Film Festival. Joining these are four new projects: the ARTrepreneur Workshop Series hosted by Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County, Summer Mariachi Workshops presented in Gilroy by the Silicon Valley Mariachi Foundation, new Summer Art Nights at Casa de Cultura y Arte, and a public showcase for the 5th anniversary of MANOS Folklorico.
The Gilroy Elevate the Arts Grant Program was launched, with initial support from The David and Lucille Packard Foundation, by SVCREATES to elevate the arts and artists of Gilroy and build community through accessible cultural activities. Congratulations to this year's awardees!
