Financial Management 101 for the Creative Sector
January 21

Managing a creative practice means managing the money as well as the art. This workshop will help you understand some of the key concepts and questions you will consider as you build your practice or organization. What is accounting and how does it relate to taxes? What’s the difference between a bookkeeper and an accountant?

Specifically designed for (but not exclusive to) entrepreneurial artists and small arts organizations in the greater Gilroy area by arts leader and accounting professional Emily McEwan-Upright, we will explore these basics but also have time for questions and discussion.

Open to all individual artists, creatives, arts organizations and artist collectives this workshop is provided at no cost by SVCreates to artists in the greater Gilroy area (Morgan Hill, San Martin, Hollister, Gilroy) and at a nominal fee for all others.
