LEGACY ARTIST FELLOWSHIP GUIDELINES

The CAC IAF program identifies three career tiers at which artists may benefit from this support. This page will give you additional details on the Legacy Artist Fellowship application. SVCreates will administer this application for artists in all 17 counties of the Central California Region: Fresno, Inyo, Kern, Kings, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, Monterey, San Benito, San Luis Obispo, San Mateo, Santa Barbara, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Stanislaus, Tulare, and Ventura.

If you are an Emerging or Established Artist in one of the above counties, please see the Program Guidelines for a link to the correct application. Be sure you are applying in the right tier for your career stage.

Choosing a Fellowship Tier

Select the tier that is most appropriate to your career stage. Your artist resume should reflect your career stage through your record of exhibitions or performance. Applications will be reviewed by fellowship tier. This award will be very competitive. Up to four Legacy Artist Fellowships will be awarded in the Central California Region.

Legacy Artist Fellows
Artists in the Legacy tier can point to a significant body of work, produced over a substantial period of time, that has engaged their communities and that has made significant social impact. Artists in this tier may be able to point to Emerging and Established Artists that they have mentored or influenced.

Additional Requirement - Finalist Interviews

Legacy Artist Fellowship applicants will follow the same guidelines and requirements listed on the main CAC IAF Program Guidelines page. In addition, selected finalists in this award tier will be asked to participate in a brief interview with the review panel. Interviews will be online and will be scheduled in mid-July. You will be notified by email if you have been selected as a finalist for this award.
